Person Fatally Shot Identified in Whitcomb Court Death Investigation

The Richmond Police Department has identified the person who was fatally shot last Wednesday night in Whitcomb Court as Tyreece D. Gayles, 28, of the 2500 block of Glenlea Avenue.

At approximate 10:13 p.m., Wednesday, May 31, RPD officers responded to a call for a person shot in the 2300 block of Ambrose Street in Whitcomb Court. When they arrived they found Gayles’ body inside a residence at that location. He had been shot.
Another individual, an adult male, was also shot during the incident and driven to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

There have been no arrests.
