Arrest Made in Patterson Avenue Double Shooting

Richmond Police detectives have arrested a suspect in connection to the double shooting which occurred early this week in the city’s Westhampton neighborhood.

At around 11:20 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, police received several calls for shots fired in a parking lot in the 5600 block of Patterson Avenue. When officers arrived, they came upon two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.


The two victims were transported to a local hospital. One of the victims has since been released. The second victim’s condition is considered non-life-threatening.

Yesterday, the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Raquan T. Waller, 19, of the 3800 block of Tighe Court in connection with the shooting. He has been charged with attempted murder (x2) and use of a firearm in commission of a felony (x2).
