The Richmond Police
Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a person of interest in
connection to a triple shooting that occurred in Shockoe Bottom.
· Person of Interest: A black male with a light complexion in
his mid-20s. He is approximately 6’0” tall with short, dark hair and a skinny
build. At the time, he was wearing a white T-Shirt with a pattern and dark
running pants with stripes down the leg.
· Vehicle [Photos attached]: The POI was driving a dark gray 4-door
Nissan sedan with a yellow New York license plate.
Shortly before 3
a.m. on Sunday, June 18, police were called to the intersection of North 17th
and East Franklin Streets for a report of two persons down. When officers
arrived, they located two victims, a male and a female, suffering from non-life
threatening gunshot wounds. They were transported to a local hospital and have
since been released.
While units were at the scene, another call was received for a person shot. The third victim was transported in a personal vehicle to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim, identified as Robert D. Turner Jr., 26, of the 400 block of Winston Street, later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Detectives
are currently looking into this incident as a homicide. No additional information is available
at this time.
