Arrest Made in Triple Shooting

Richmond Police Department officers have arrested a Chesterfield man in connection to the shooting this morning of three people on East Main Street.

Darroll G. Allen, 25, of the 6000 block of Cricklewood Drive, Chesterfield, has been charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Additional charges are pending. His photo is attached.

This morning at approximately 2:02 a.m., officers were called to the 1700 block of East Main Street for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived and found two males and a female who were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to a local hospital. None of the injuries were considered life threatening.

Shortly after the incident, a member of the public called to provide information on the description and possible location of the suspect. A patrol K-9 officer was nearby and observed someone in a vehicle in the 1700 block of East Broad Street matching the description of the suspect. With assistance of First Precinct officers, Allen was arrested without incident.

All three victims were shot outside a business in the 1700 block of East Main Street. One of the male victims was an employee of the business.
