Arrest Made in South Belvidere Commercial Armed Robbery

The Richmond Police Department has made an arrest in the armed robbery that occurred on October 13, 2022, in the 100 block of South Belvidere Street. Charles Turner, 41, of Glen Allen has been apprehended and charged with the following; 

  • Robbery (felony)
  • Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. 

On October 13, 2022 at approximately 2:00 a.m., officers were called to the 100 block of South Belvidere Street for the report of an armed robbery. The offender entered the business and demanded money and items from the store employees. The offender threatened the employees by indicating he had a firearm concealed in his clothing. He fled on foot in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash and items.
