Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers were called to the 3500 block of Chamberlayne Avenue for a report of shots fired and for a report of a person shot. Officers arrived and found an adult male in a courtyard of an apartment building, down and unresponsive, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
Major Crimes detectives are investigating this shooting as a homicide. The investigation continues.
