Woman Identified in Jahnke Road Death Investigation

Richmond Police detectives have identified the woman who died in the death investigation on Friday on Jahnke Road as Imani Hill, 26, of Richmond. 

On Friday at approximately 2:17 p.m., officers responded to a call of armed individuals and shots fired at Westover Hills School in the 1200 block of Jahnke Road. 

Officers arrived and determined an altercation had occurred outside the school involving Hill and others. During the altercation, a firearm was produced and shots were fired. Hill suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital in a personal vehicle. On Friday she succumbed to her injury at the hospital. Another individual, an adult male, was struck in the head by a firearm. As a result of this assault, a juvenile male has been charged with malicious wounding, possession of a firearm by a juvenile and possession of a firearm on school grounds. 

The investigation of the shooting continues. 

After the altercation, the school was immediately locked down. At NO time did this incident involve students, faculty, or staff of this school, and NO students were injured. Detectives have determined the school was not a target.
