Hull Street Train Pedestrian Fatality

The Richmond Police Department is investigating the death of a man who was struck by a train yesterday evening in the city’s south side.

At approximately 5:55 p.m. yesterday, officers responded to the railroad tracks in the area of the 4500 block of Hull Street for the report of a person struck by a train. When they arrived, they located an adult male who was deceased along the tracks.

Witnesses stated they observed the male walking southbound along the tracks toward the Amtrak train when he was struck.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death. Foul play is not suspected at this time.
