Suspect Sought in Armed Robbery on Midlothian Turnpike

Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify the suspect in the attached photo who is suspected of a robbery which occurred on Midlothian Turnpike last month.

At approximately 7:18 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 30, police were called to the Buzz Thru Car Wash in the 5200 block of Midlothian Turnpike for the report of a robbery. When officers arrived, the victim stated he had pulled into the car wash bay and noticed a silver van occupied by two people. Shortly after, the victim was approached by a suspect who pulled out a firearm and demanded the victim to give him his wallet. He fled eastbound on Midlothian Turnpike.

The suspect is described as a black male with a shaved face who is approximately 5’5” tall and 200 pounds. At the time, he was wearing a black hoodie with a vertical white stripe on the shoulder with his hood up. A photo of the vehicle he was seen in is also attached.
