Suspect Sought in Staples Mill Bank Robbery

Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify the suspect who robbed a bank near Staples Mill earlier today.

At approximately 1:24 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, officers responded to the Wells Fargo at 4901 West Broad Street for a report of a robbery. Officers were told the suspect approached the teller, stated he had a weapon then demanded money. The teller complied and gave the suspect money from a coin box. The suspect then left the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a white male with brown hair and short beard stubble. He is approximately 40 to 50 years old, 5’5” tall, and 180 pounds. At the time he was wearing a beige jacket.
