Arrests Made in Boston Avenue Shooting

A pair of Richmond men have been arrested and charged with multiple felonies in connection with a March shooting in the Blackwell neighborhood.

Sean Q. Jones, 26, of the 5800 block of Orcutt Lane, was arrested on June 1. Deaudray M. Tompkins, 23, of the 2100 block of Bainbridge Street, was taken into custody on June 3. Both men are charged with malicious wounding, robbery, attempted robbery, and three counts each of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Booking photos are attached.
At approximately 9:23 p.m. on March 31, officers responded to the 500 block of West Grace Street in reference to a person shot. They arrived to find an adult male inside a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim reported he had been robbed and shot in the 2000 block of Boston Avenue.
