Richmond Police detectives are investigating a homicide that
occurred last night the Midlothian Inn.
At approximately 9:42 p.m., Friday, June 3, RPD officers
were called to the Midlothian Inn at 6523 Midlothian Turnpike for a report of
random gunfire. They quickly located a room where a woman had been shot. She
was pronounced dead at 9:58 p.m.
The victim has been identified as Paige E. Johnson, 25, of
the 6500 block of Midlothian Turnpike.
While it is early in the investigation, detectives have
developed strong leads in the case. They are reviewing surveillance videos and
interviewing people who were in the area at the time of the shooting.
