Suspect Sought in Golden Food Market Shooting

The Richmond Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify the man who is a suspect in a shooting that occurred in late May at the Golden Food Market.

At approximately 10:19 p.m. on May 28, officers were alerted to a person shot near Chippenham Parkway, where an ambulance was flagged down by a vehicle. The passenger of the car, who is an adult male, was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Investigation revealed the shooting took place outside the Golden Food Market, located at 2701 Jefferson Davis Highway.
The suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, 5’5”- 5’8” tall, weighing between 145 and 155 pounds.
