Search Continues for Missing Man

Richmond Police Detectives are asking for the public’s help to locate Eric L. Bambacus, who has been missing since February. His photo is attached.

“We have reached out to every resource we have to this point,” said Major Crimes Detective William Thompson. “Now, we are looking for assistance from the public to generate some new leads that will help us find Mr. Bambacus and bring him home safely.”

Bambacus, 55, was last seen on February 10, 2016 in the 3200 block of Chamberlayne Avenue. He has been known to wander the city as well as Henrico and Chesterfield counties, staying in abandoned buildings.

He is described as a white male, 5’8” tall, with brown hair and brown eyes, weighing approximately 190 pounds.

Anyone who sees Eric Bambacus or has information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. Citizens can also text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
