Suspect Sought in Attempted Murder in Northside

Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to help locate Keon K. Martin, 22, who is suspected of an attempted murder which occurred in the city’s Northside in April.

Around 10:33 a.m. on Monday, April 24, Martin approached a residence in the 4000 block of North Avenue and fired a shot into an occupied home.  A bystander then approached Martin and grabbed the suspect’s firearm in an attempt to point it in a safe direction.  As this was happening, another shot was fired and the suspect fled the scene.

Keon Martin
is described as a black male with a medium complexion and short black hair. He is 5’11” tall, 210 pounds and has a tattoo of a snake on his lower forearm.
