Officers and detectives with the Richmond Police Department’s Fugitive and Firearms Initiative, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Regional Fugitive Task Force, has arrested a male and a female in connection with a homicide earlier this month.

Stroud, 45, of the 5200 block of Sunbeam Road, Chesterfield, and Deneka L. Young, 34, of the 2400
block of Concord Avenue, Richmond, were arrested on Thursday, July 20 in a
residence in the 3400 block of Irvington Street. They were taken into custody
without incident. Both have been charged in connection to the homicide. Stroud
was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Their photos
are attached.
The Department
announced the arrest of James D. Faris, 37, of the 13600 block of
Quail Hollow Lane, Midlothian, last week for his involvement in the same
incident.
At approximately
8:28 p.m., Saturday, July 15, officers were called to the 2100 block of
Brookhaven Road for the report of a person shot. Officers arrived and found Carlos
Terry, 36, of the 4100 block of Norborne Road in a vehicle suffering
from an apparent gunshot wound. Terry was transported to a local hospital where
he died.
