After Several Shockoe Valley Market Robberies, Suspect Arrested, Suspects Sought

The Richmond Police Department has made an arrest and is searching for a suspect in a recent robbery at the Shockoe Valley Market – while detectives ask again for information about another robbery suspect at the same location.

Thursday at approximately 2: 40 p.m., two suspects entered the convenience store, located at 311 N. 18th St., brandished a knife at an employee and robbed the store of cash, cigarettes and cigars. The suspects fled on foot eastbound on East Marshall Street.

There were no injuries.

Detectives have arrested a juvenile male for this incident and are seeking Dorian J. Hamilton, 20, of the 1300 block of Piney Ridge Court. His photo is attached.

Detectives are still investigating a robbery at the same location on Wednesday and ask again for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. The suspect in the second photo used a handgun to rob the store.
