Suspect Sought in Semmes Avenue Robbery

Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the woman in the attached photo who is a suspect in a robbery that occurred early this morning.

Shortly before 1 a.m., police responded to the Fas Mart at 2107 Semmes Ave. for a report of a commercial robbery. The suspect approached the store clerk with her hand, covered in a scarf, demanding money. When the clerk realized the suspect did not have a weapon, she pushed the suspect’s hand away and called police. The suspect then took several packs of cigarettes and fled Eastbound on foot toward Cowardin Avenue.

The suspect is described as a black female with short dark hair, approximately 40-50 years old, 5’6” tall, and weighing 145-150 pounds.  At the time of the incident, she wore a black scarf, black jacket, blue jeans, and tan colored boots.
