Arrests Made in North 29th Street Homicide

Richmond Police have arrested two males in connection to a homicide which occurred early this year in the city’s east end.

Keon C. Anderson, 18, of the 1100 block of St. Paul Street, and David D. Jones, 20, of the 2400 block of Richdale Road, have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder. Anderson has also been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Recent mugshots are attached.
At approximately 10:53 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, officers were called to the 1800 block of North 29th Street for a report of a shooting. Inside a residence near the intersection of North 29th and Y Streets they found a woman who had been shot.

The victim, Kemberly A. M. Williams, 49, of the 1800 block of North 29th Street, was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead at 11:42 p.m.
“This shooting took the life of an innocent woman. Through months of investigating, detectives were able to identify two of the individuals involved in this incident,” said Major Crimes Lt. Cynthia Hayes. “We are continuing to gather information and reaching out to anyone who may have witnessed or have information about what occurred that night.”
