Victim Identified in Walmsley Boulevard Homicide

Richmond Police Department detectives have identified the victim of a homicide that occurred early yesterday morning on the city's south side.

Shortly after 8 a.m. yesterday, police were called to the Dollar General store at 3903 Walmsley Blvd. for a person down. When police arrived, they found an adult male in a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim, Ronald A. Holder, 48, of Henrico, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death. Police are still investigating.
