Richmond Police
detectives have identified the victim of a homicide that occurred last night on
the city’s south side as Tevon F. Dickerson, 24, of the 200 block of
Plazaview Road.
At approximately
8:11 p.m., officers responded to the 5100 block of Forest Hill Avenue for a
report of random gunfire. They searched the area and did not locate a victim.
Minutes later,
police received a call advising there was a person down near the intersection
of Hioaks and Jahnke roads. Officers quickly located Dickerson, who was suffering
from an apparent gunshot wound, in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the
scene.
Detectives believe
the two scenes are related and that the victim was driven to the second
