Man Arrested in Southwood Parkway Shooting

A Richmond man was arrested yesterday in connection with a shooting that took place last month in the Southwood neighborhood.

Hugo J. Palma Iraheta, 22, of Richmond, is charged with attempted murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. His booking photo is attached. 
Shortly before 1 a.m. on September 18, officers responded to the 4600 block of Southwood Parkway for a report of a person shot. They arrived to find an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound lying on a sidewalk. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
