Richmond Police Detectives have identified the victim in last night’s homicide as Marc E. Johnson, 48, of the 5600 block of Simpson Avenue.
At approximately 11:04 p.m., officers were called to the
5300 block of Blue Ridge Avenue for the report of random gunfire.
Officers arrived and found Johnson on the sidewalk. He had
suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of
death.
